Kookaburra sits in the….

I went for a walk along the Bega River one morning and found a couple of Kookaburras sitting in the Oak tree eyeing off the food on a picnic table. They were waiting for the family to leave something behind so that they could enjoy some also.

New Years by the River

I took the opportunity to get away from the big parties and celebrations of New Years this time. I went down to Bega River and watched the sunset and the moon rise. I wasn’t the only one down there. A few people were fishing and camping along the river.

Waters Recede

In January 2016 there were two floods across the Jellat Jellat Flats when the Bega River burst its banks. I took this photo two weeks after. It takes a long time for it to recede. As the water recedes, it leaves the land brown. The water that is now left will evaporate.
